★ 「アテモヤ」でなくて「アテス」
沖縄の食べ物アテモヤ
アイスクリームのような食感と甘さなのだとか
『アテモヤ』の名前は民謡の歌詞で初めて聞いて
『アテモヤ』って何？
って思ったものでしたが、果物だったのですね

それが『アテス（釈迦頭）』

近所の店先で売られていたのを買ってみました
アテモヤの糖度が25度前後
アテスの糖度が20度前後
ということでかな～り甘い果物
アイスクリームに例えられるくらいですから
女性やお子様向けのお土産などにもいいでしょうね～
もう少し追熟させてから頂くことにします

アテモヤ(Atemoya,学名:Annona atemoya)は釈迦頭（アテス）とチェリモヤを掛け合わせフロリダで品種改良された品種。
名前は釈迦頭のブラジルでの呼び名アテ(Ate)と、チェリモヤ(Cherimoya)のモヤから付けられた。
食感や風味がパイナップルに似ていることから、台湾では鳳梨釋迦（パイナップル釈迦頭）と呼ばれている。
甘味だけの釈迦頭に比べ程よい酸味と芳香を兼ね備えているため、近年栽培され始め急に人気が出てきた。
外見は釈迦頭に似ているが、釈迦頭の表面の凹凸がうろこ状に剥がれ易いのに比べて、アテモヤの皮は一枚に繋がっている。
栽培可能な期間が12月から2月迄と釈迦頭にくらべ短く、栽培自体も難しいため高級品種として扱われる。

和名：釈迦頭（しゃかとう）。
別名：シュガーアップル。
